The day commenced with an introductory session during circle time and the students proceeded to do a fun-filled welcome worksheet. The children of Little Steps were welcomed with open arms by the facilitators of the pre-primary and primary wings. When the tiny tots knocked on the door at TIHS for the first time on December 1, it resonated with the month of joy and happiness. “Firsts are best because they are beginnings.\" Her underlying message on embracing domestic brands and to ‘Think Local, Act Global’ resonated with them far and wide Meghana Dungrakoti apprised and motivated the young minds to establish a golden personality and build a broad mindset that enables them to not be brand-conscious, but serve the community for a greater cause. The rounds ‘Grand Brand’ and ‘Heart in Harmony’, helped garner awareness of the organizations working for noble causes followed an enriching quiz.
The students of classes 1-5 acquired knowledge of reputed international organizations and brands through an illustrative presentation. The ‘Logo Quiz’ and ‘Global Gala’ activity was conducted for the tiny tots, to introduce them to the world of international brands, wherein they identified the names of different logos and shared names of countries using their innate skills. The interactive week comprised of a host of activities to meaningfully engage the children and enhance their cognitive thinking skills. The Pre-primary and Primary Wing at TIHS celebrated December 1 to 3 as ‘International Week’. Introducing children to a new country helps in opening their mindset to a broader way of thinking and looking at issues differently. ‘Diversity is the art of thinking independently together’īeing international helps to break down barriers and overcome stereotypes. The main reason behind spreading awareness about road safety is to make students realize the consequences if they ignore the traffic rules and to encourage them to follow rules and refrain others from breaking it. He also requested students to discuss it with their parents and make them aware about importance of following rules on road.
The interactive session explained the correct method and instructed students on “what not to do”, how to cross road, where to ride a bicycle and what do the various road signs signify. Manoj made students aware about the fact that we can stop accidents if we follow the traffic rules properly. The meaning of road signs on highways and near other public landmarks were well explained by the resource person. The students were very excited for the session as their queries were well addressed.
